Chesterfield Drunk Driving Accident Attorneys
Helping You Secure Justice & a Fair Recovery
Drinking and driving is one of the leading causes of vehicle accidents in Missouri. In fact, in Missouri, 38% of all motor vehicle fatalities involve a drunk driver. A driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol is more likely to be involved in an accident because of decreased reaction time and impaired judgment. Because of the size and weight of trucks, drunk truck drivers place everyone on the road at risk and accidents can result in catastrophic injuries.
The Roberts Law Firm, P.C. aggressively pursues drunk drivers with a zero-tolerance policy toward offenders. If you were injured or your loved one was killed by a drunk driver, we can help. Our Chesterfield drunk driving accident attorneys represent clients throughout Missouri.

Charges of Drunk Driving
In Missouri, a driver can be charged with a DWI (driving while intoxicated) if the driver operates a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08% or more. Effective on June 2, 2010, House Bill 1695 strengthened the drunk driving laws, creating greater penalties for repeat offenders and offenders with a BAC of .15% or greater.
Punitive Damages in Drunk Driving Cases
Under Missouri law, victims are not limited to claims of negligence against drunk drivers. Victims also have a right to claim punitive damages designed to punish the drunk driver and to deter such conduct in the future. The Roberts Law Firm, P.C. aggressively litigates drunk driving accidents to protect injury victims throughout Missouri.

Dram Shop and Liquor Liability
The term “dram shop” refers to a drinking establishment—such as a bar, lounge, or restaurant—where alcohol is purchased and consumed on the premises. Missouri’s Dram Shop Act is a statute that imposes liability on drinking establishments. The Act creates liability for selling alcohol without a license, selling alcohol to someone under 21, serving alcohol to someone under 21 (known as “social host liability”), or selling alcohol to someone obviously intoxicated. If you are injured as a result of a Dram Shop Act violation, a drinking establishment may be held legally responsible.
